Our beef is sold in quarter, half or whole cow portions. Customers purchase their cow from us but then work directly with the local processor, Sims Meat in LaPorte, Indiana, to personalize their beef cuts and packaging.
For customers who enjoy a variety of beef cuts including steak, roasts, hamburgers and more, this process is a way to fill your freezer with farm raised meat in an cost-effective and ethical manner.
Our beef cattle are processed at 18 months to 2 years of age and are moved from pasture to corn fed before processing. This combination of age and diet ensure customers receive prime flavor and marbling often enjoyed in beef.
Our beef cattle range from 1,000 to 1,300 pounds when processed. The take-home weight ranges from 30-40% of original weight based on customer's preference on deboned and trimmed cuts.

We deliver your cow to the local processor on the date specified on your order. The local processor will contact you directly to personalize your beef cuts and packaging. Processing typically takes two weeks from drop off date. Customers will pick up their order directly from the butcher.
Butcher fees will be applied based on each customer's individual processing requests and are not included in the cost of the cow. Processing fees are paid directly to the butcher when customers pick up their order.
